Positive Reviews
positive:
Wonderful Hearty Food.
The food served by the restaurant is of an excellent quality, with traditional style hearty dishes cooked to perfection and to order, such as traditional dishes such as fish and chips and fruit crumble and custard. The buffet breakfast also offers a lavish choice and includes smoked salmon, fresh fruit and a selection of breads, cakes and croissants.
positive:
Cozy Clean Well-Equipped Rooms.
The boutique style rooms are tastefully decorated with a nod to a nautical theme. Guests are impressed with thoughtful extras provided by the hotel, such as the use of an umbrella, sewing kits, sweets, books and magazines on the local area and tea and coffee making facilities. Harbour view rooms have a particularly nice view both during day and night when the lights shine on the water.
positive:
Super Staff at Hotel.
The staff are wonderful, helpful and accommodating. They work extremely hard and are often very busy, yet always have time to answer a query or help in any way they can.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Unreliable Wi-Fi.
The free wireless Internet offered by the hotel can be patchy and unreliable, dropping every few minutes.
negative:
Hotel Restaurant is Expensive.
The restaurant is for hotel guests, but also is a standalone restaurant too. Some found it overpriced as they considered the menu basic and the food standard. The majority of people eating there though are highly impressed with the food.
negative:
Early Morning Noise.
The hotel is situated right on a working harbour. Light sleepers may find the cries of seagulls and the engines of fishing boats disturb their sleep. However, many find the seaside sounds add to the atmosphere of being beside the sea.
