Positive Reviews
positive:
Good Proximity To Central Ghent.
It's a ten to fifteen-minute walk to historic city centre Ghent, its many popular attractions, cafes, pubs, and public transportation links. The garden is perfectly-manicured and lovely and the adjacent canal is gorgeous to look out over early every day when the ducks swim past. A reasonably affordable venue in a quiet location, near parks and countryside. Good value for the money and very comfortable.
positive:
Cute, Stylish Rooms.
Clean and spacious with newly renovated amenities throughout, decor and furnishings nicely arranged, wonderful beds and pillows, fantastic bathrooms and showers and perfect temperature control function. You'll find an adequate number of English-speaking channels to choose from on the television and excellent Wi-Fi.
positive:
Friendly Staff.
Helpful, charming and efficient, and many of whom speak English as well, this staff is sure to exceed your expectations.
Negative Reviews
negative:
No AC or Lift.
Lack of AC and no fan provided leaves one quite uncomfortable on hot summer days/nights. No lift on-site is a drag when carrying luggage up three flights of stairs. Ask for a room on the ground floor if you have mobility issues.
negative:
Distance from City Centre.
Some felt the location was less conveniently near transport links and central Ghent than others, stating they also felt unsafe walking back after dark due to proximity of the shady elements of the red light district. Difficult to find parking close to the hotel as well.
negative:
Missing Niceties.
Some expressed dissatisfaction at the rooms being too small, too dark, lacking an in-room fridge and kettle/tea/coffee making provisions. They also felt breakfast was sparse on the offered selection.
