About Yongala Lodge by The Strand
Yongala Lodge is only a few minutes’ walk from Townsville’s Strand Beach. Restaurants and shops are equally close to the hotel and it’s an eight-minute drive to Townsville Airport. Accommodation consists of either air-conditioned apartments with kitchen; or en-suite bedrooms. Typically included throughout are tea and coffee facilities, flat-screen TV and refrigerator. Some accommodation units include a balcony. There is an inviting outdoor pool at Yongala Lodge, Wi-Fi, a laundry facility and free parking. Currently closed for refurbishment, there are impressive areas for the staging of business and social events. Dining is currently restricted, due to the upgrading programme. Local restaurants, though, include The Balcony, Gyo Japanese, Seasoned and A Touch of Salt. Breakfast is served at The Balcony and Relish Restaurants. Things to do in Townsville include visits to Magnetic Island, experiencing wildlife at Billabong Sanctuary, skydiving and a spot of fishing … off the Great Barrier Reef!
