Negative Reviews
negative:
On-Site Parking Not Provided.
While the Merrion Hotel has an off-site, designated car park, the number of spaces have been reported fewer than twenty--less than a third of the number of bedrooms. Especially during the busier seasons, finding vacant parking can be frustrating. There are, however, a few public parking lots within a couple blocks of the hotel.
negative:
Cleanliness May Concern.
Although well-appointed and maintained, previous guests of this seaside resort have expressed their discontent with the hotel's standard of cleanliness. In addition to dusty nooks, crannies, and headboards, visitors have found themselves at odds with dirt in the showers, grime behind faucets, and smudged glassware.
negative:
Some Suggest Refurbishment.
The condition of certain facilities don't seem to equate in standards of excellence when compared to that of the stunning, beach front surroundings. Creaking floor boards from upper-rooms are a common source of complaint, as well as frayed carpets and poor water pressure in some bathrooms.
