The owners of the guest house, Nick and Kate were lovely hosts to all the guests. They were very friendly in a non-intrusive manner. Useful tips and information about the restaurants, pubs and other places around given by them was very helpful to many guests. Guests were made to feel at home by taking care of the smallest of their concerns right away.
Guests loved the spread of the full English breakfast. The coffee deserves a special mention as per many guests. Eggs and chicken made by Kate were a hot favourite amongst a lot of guests. The portions were very filling and enough to set up the guests for the rest of the day. Rooms were very clean and comfortable; apt for a relaxing break.
Guests loved the tranquil and peaceful environment of the guest house. The walk through Houghton, Hemingford Abbotts and St Ives were refreshing. There is a Manor along with a garden nearby. Apart from the restaurant next door, there were many pubs and fine restaurants a few minutes' walk upstream from the guest house. Not having to drive around was a great relief for the guests.
Few guests felt that the bathrooms were very small making it slightly inconvenient to take a bath. Moreover, there were no tissue, cotton and soap bars.
Some guests felt that the guest house was slightly overpriced as compared to the amenities that they had provided.
As per some guests the beds were a tad too hard for a comfortable sleep. They said that providing softer mattresses and pillows would have been great to ensure a good night's sleep.
