Hotel Simplon (Baveno, Italy)

Most of the guests loved the food served at the onsite restaurant. The menu included a variety of Italian and many other international cuisines. They had a good choice of meat, fish, pasta and salads. Prawn cocktail and smoked salmon is highly recommended by many guests. The tunnel passage from Simplon to a sister hotel Dino has a beautiful art gallery. Guests enjoyed their drink listening to live music like a jazz trio. Breakfast had a huge layout where even the picky eaters could find something to eat.

Rooms are spacious and give a great view of the lake and mountains. Guests loved sitting there and gazing at the beautiful views. The floors are parquet or carpeted which look sophisticated. They are clean and serviced twice a day. Powerful shower helped in a relaxing bath. The large bed was very comfortable to sleep on

The staff members are very friendly and go out of their way to help out the guests. They are very informative and also help the guests in planning their sight-seeing itinerary. Many guests had high praises for the staff at the reception who worked without much fuss.

The fact that the guests had to pay for the W-Fi was quite disappointing. To add to the woes, it was extremely slow and as good as not having one.

Guests staying near the road had a tough time sleeping because of the high noise levels from the traffic outside. It was impossible to open the windows too.

Some of the guests felt that the drinks are quite expensive and don't have much variety.
