Guests rave about the One Lounge, often commenting on the elegant interior decor, pleasant terrace area, and good selection of reasonably priced drinks. Many also enjoy the space at breakfast time, too, noting the continental buffet items are fresh and well presented, though some international travellers miss cooked items such as bacon and eggs. There is also a small Italian restaurant on the ground floor, with a short but tasty menu.

Many guests find the rooms are very comfortable as well as stylish for their modest price range, and the phrase "value for money" comes up frequently in reviews. Rooms on the higher floors offer terrific views of the city, and the soundproofing is widely considered effective as well.

Though the hotel is located in a quiet suburb, tourists have no trouble reaching the city centre; the nearest U-Bahn station is about five minutes on foot, and Marienplatz is only four stops away.

Though the basics are generally considered very well done (comfortable bed, good shower), don't expect to find "extras" such as a kettle, fridge, or telephone. The toiletries are also limited to a small bottle of shower gel.

The rooms are widely described as small, particularly for couples, who struggle with minimal storage space for clothes as well as the smallish bathroom. Some (possibly all) rooms do not feature night stands, a great irritation for those who like to read in bed.

Though reviews of the staff are largely very positive, some travellers have reported difficulty communicating with reception or bar staff in English. Others have had trouble connecting to the Wi-Fi, or are irritated by the password system.
