Positive Reviews
positive:
Terrific waffles
While the verdict on the breakfast as a whole was not clear, most guests really seemed to like the waffles. Like at other La Quinta properties, guests at this hotel get to make them themselves. They found this charming and fun, especially for the children. It also meant that the waffles ended up on their plate piping hot.
positive:
Convenient for the airport
While the hotel is a good distance from the passenger terminal, guests nonetheless found the hotel to be very convenient when traveling to/from Pittsburgh International. They liked that the hotel had a shuttle available, but even if driving themselves, found the hotel easy to get to.
positive:
Remarkably quiet
Despite being close to the airport, and right on a busy city street, several guests remarked that their room was a haven of peace and quite. It may be that proper soundproofing measures have been installed, but light sleepers are still advised o request a room facing away from the road.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Parking lot a bit small
A couple of guests mentioned that the hotel’s parking lot may not be big enough to accommodate all motorists, especially when the hotel had a full house. The bays are not allocated, and some guests mentioned that they had a lot of trouble finding a free space when returning to the hotel.
negative:
Could do with an update
While guests conceded that it was not too bad, yet, they felt that the hotel was looking a bit tired, with faded fabrics, scuff marks and so on. They felt that it needed a quick refresh at the very least.
negative:
Problems with mold
A few guests mentioned mold, mildew and similar moisture related problems with their rooms. They reckoned that these were the result of not enough attention being paid to cleaning and maintenance issues.
