Positive Reviews
positive:
Spacious rooms.
The guest rooms are well planned and spacious - there is a separate living and sleeping space to enjoy. While the décor is fairly standard compared to area hotels, the space is a plus when you consider the provided amenities and two televisions - ideal if you are in town on an extended visit.
positive:
Convenient location.
Though the hotel is closer to the John Wayne Airport, it does put you within a reasonable distance to all the iconic locations in the area. It's situated near major freeways, which take you to Los Angeles or the Inland Empire - it's also a short drive from shopping destinations, beaches and theme parks.
positive:
Good food.
The cooked-to-order breakfast is well made and there are plenty of options if you don't want an omelet - there is fruit, oatmeal and pastries to enjoy.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Inconsistent Wi-Fi.
If you're staying at the hotel on business (or want to use the Internet as a leisure traveler), the inconsistent Wi-Fi connection could be an issue. Some Internet reception is better in certain areas of the hotel or room, so you'll be stuck in one spot if you happen to find a good connection.
negative:
Poor temperature control.
The air conditioning and heating units leave a bit to be desired and don't allow you to make specific adjustments to your room. If your room faces a western sun, you could experience a stuffy or hot room with afternoon temperatures, especially during the summer. Wall structure prevents a better system from being put in, so things aren't likely to change.
negative:
Undergoing renovation.
The hotel is currently being renovated, which could mean there is additional noise during your visit.
