Days Inn Montreal Downtown is within easy walking distance of Downtown Montreal, Chinatown and Old Montreal. There area is filled with a variety of cafes and restaurants to choose from. The University of Quebec-Montreal, National Library of Quebec, St. Denis Theatre and the Monument National are within 10-minutes' walk. Local buses and the Champ-de-Mars metro station are a few minutes' walk away.

The rooms are well presented and of a descent size. The beds are reportedly comfortable, the bathroom clean and the shower nice and hot. All the basic necessities are covered including complimentary toiletries, a hairdryer, fridge and free Wi-Fi.

The staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful. Guests are made to feel at home as staff go out of their way to ensure you have a pleasant stay. Staff are also able to assist with tourist information including restaurant recommendations.

On-site parking is not available. Guests with cars are required to park at a car park approximately two blocks away from the hotel. Some guests felt that this was inconvenient and also commented that the parking fees were expensive.

Despite other favorable reviews, other guests felt that the hotel showed significant signs of wear and would benefit from refurbishment. In some cases broken fixtures were found in the bathroom, the furniture was outdated and wallpaper was found to be peeling away from the wall.

Many guests complained of a bad smell in their room and reported that the rooms had not been adequately cleaned. In some rooms the bed linen was found to be dirty, the carpets stained and the walls and doors were marked.
