Practically every guest who's stayed at this hotel has fallen in love with its location. After all, how often do you get to stay somewhere that's directly opposite a palace and looks out over a Florentine piazza? Of course, many travellers also loved the fact that they could walk to places like the Ponte Vecchio and the Uffizi Gallery in less than ten minutes.

Palazzo views, high ceilings, artwork on the walls and an old-fashioned lift; it's easy to see why so many guests warmed to this hotel's authentic Florentine charm.

Numerous visitors have been won over by the affable and informal yet highly effective approach of the hotel receptionists. Apparently, they'll do everything from booking a table at a restaurant to parking your car for you if you ask nicely enough.

The vast majority of visitors who've stayed here have commented on the somewhat rundown condition of some parts of the property. Broken bathrooms, collapsing floors and incredibly noisy pipes are some of the most commonly raised issues.

It is fair to say very few travellers have been impressed with the levels of comfort afforded by the beds in the accommodations. Most agreed that the mattresses on the beds were well past their sell-by date.

A significant number of guests have noted that, because the walls, windows, and doors have no isolation, you cannot help but hear everything that happens next door, in the corridor, and even out on the street.
