Guesthouse Hall Chiado (Lisbon, Portugal)

Hall Chiado is centrally located with river, Bica district, concert hall and shopping places close by. If you want to eat out and savour a variety of delicacies, then many restaurants are located within walking distance. Public transport is also easily accessible from the hotel. Cantina do Avillez and Tartine are some of the restaurants recommended by guests.

The rooms have been well-maintained, clean and very comfortable. Well-furnished with modern interiors, the rooms are spacious and are loved by guests for a peaceful stay. The shower area is also spacious, which adds to the overall comfort.

Though the hotel lacks a proper reception, the staff is very responsive and helpful via email and over phone. No issues are faced and everything is handled promptly and efficiently by the guests. Also, small gestures by the staff like giving chocolates on Valentine's Day or making restaurant recommendations helps in making the stay memorable.

Some guests reported that the walls are thin and sound insulation is poor because of which noise from outside disturbs at night. The street is a little noisy, which can cause some disturbance. However, most of the guests did not face any such issue.

The lighting in rooms could have been better, as a few guests felt that it was quite dark during daytime.

Though the staff is always there to help you over phone and owner's shop is located next door, some guests felt that a reception would have added a personal touch and would have made them feel secure.
