Despite the guest house being on a busy road leading into the heart of Chester, guests describe the rooms as exceptionally quiet at night. Some put it down to the think walls of the old building, but whatever the reason they are relieved that they can get a good nights sleep without being disturbed.
Though there were some contrary opinions, the overwhelming majority of guests really enjoyed the breakfast, saying it was filling and cooked to perfection. It really seemed to set them up for the day.
This was perhaps the most common complaint. Guests describe the rooms as exceptionally dated, with old furniture that has seen better days. In their opinion something more than just a quick spruce-up is required. To move forward, they likely need a full on renovation.
The parking is at the back of the building, and while guests are grateful that there is parking, it is described as extremely tight. Many found it quite difficult to find in the first place, and very difficult to manoeuvre and get their cars into the bays when there.
At least one room does not have an en-suite, but has its private bathroom is down the (public) hall. Naturally, some guests found this a bit awkward, especially in the morning when still in their pyjamas.
