The origins of the OLD STATION OF BENIFALLET date back to early part of the last century which along with the railway line project of the Zafán Valley sought to unite La Puebla de Hijar to Tortosa. Two line closures, unfinished sections and the great Battle of the Ebro during the Spanish Civil War, are just some of the episodes that tell of the story of the railway line and Benifallet Station, direct evidence of a continuous flow of life from the mid-twentieth century onwards. It wasn’t until 1973 with the collapse of tunnel 28, that the dreams of the railway line were buried causing the final abandonment of the Station. Almost 40 years later, and with the old railway line converted into a Greenway, the Benifallet Station is reborn. Rehabilitated with accommodation and restaurant, it returns to modern times ready to give birth to new stories. Welcome to the OLD STATION OF BENIFALLET
