Positive Reviews
positive:
Great meal experience.
When visiting The Clifton Hotel for a meal, guests will always be able to expect good food, with even better service. The staff dote on their customers, and ensure that the restaurant, even when busy, has clean tables and are served with a smile.
positive:
Beautiful views.
Those guests lucky enough to be booked into a room facing the beach will find that no matter what angle they look out their window, they are blessed with a beautiful, and awesome view at The Clifton Hotel.
positive:
Value for money.
What more could one want when staying at a seaside location, especially in a small hotel. The fact that guests are not charged more for the views alone suggests that they are in for a treat, for themselves, as well as their pockets!
Negative Reviews
negative:
Saving electricity.
During the night, after the majority of guests would have gone to sleep, guests will find that the heating is turned off, meaning that any rooms that were not warmed properly become cold quickly, and leave guests suffering though the cold winter night.
negative:
Maintenance issues.
While most of the rooms are kept in good repair, there are a few issues here and there that crop up. Guests may find that although the staff are aware of these facts, and that having to request something to be fixed is not quite ideal.
negative:
Not pet-friendly.
As identified on the website as being a pet-friendly hotel, The Clifton Hotel is in fact not pet-friendly. Guests are recommended to always check first with the hotel before arriving with their four-legged friend, as this is not a surprise one wants to receive.
