Everything was perfect and the house was 5 minutes from Bristol.

Owner Communicated well, made the visit very enjoyable. Even left us a frozen pot pie from a award winning bakery!! We will be back!

Great Ski Cabin!!

This property was perfect for a relaxing retreat. The property was beautiful and private yet conveniently located near attractions and wine trails. We loved waking up to fresh air and fresh picked grapes. The hostess was very accomodating. Monica's pie was our favorite added touch. I would definitely stay again.

Rekaxing weekend getaway

This location is so amazing and peaceful. We loved walking around the grounds with our dogs and taking in all of the fall scenery! The house is large enough for everyone to have some quiet time and the kitchen is loaded with everything you would need to cook for yourself. The back porch is a wonderful pace to relax and spend time with the family. We would definitely love to come back in the future!

My friends and I enjoyed a relaxing stay while attending a wedding at Bristol Harbor. Only wish we had more time to explore the beautiful property!

We really enjoyed our stay. It was very comfortable, clean, and quiet. Close to lots of amenities.

Very relaxing stay

The property is very beautiful. We loved walking our dogs around the ponds and up the hill for a great view of the lake and surrounding hills. The house was clean and well stocked. Our only complaint would be that the bunk beds were uncomfortable to sleep on and the couch could use an update.

Beautiful property

We had a great relaxing stay, my husband and son fished most of the time there and caught tons of fish. My son saw a buck while he was fishing and said it was the biggest one he ever saw. Great place to let your dog play, wished I brought mine. Met the neighbor and their dog, very nice and cute puppy. Thanks for a relaxing week and quality time with kids.

Hidden gem

Loved the openness of the area, with plenty to gaze around at or do. Activity or restful was around every corner. Didn’t want to leave, but hope to make my way back.

Sweet space

What a lovely setting in a lovely part of New York. Quaint shops and restaurants. Fun nightlife at the Hollerhorn. Property was clean, cozy, comfortable, and perfect for the dog—oh, and we loved our grape pie!

The stay at Naples Property was fantastic, clean in every way. What a pleasure to stay in in home with a garage especially since it was raining when we arrived and when we departed. I highly recommend this property.

This is truly a unique property with many natural treasures to enjoy. First of all, Carolyn and Mary are great hosts, and everything was spotlessly clean and working. If you love beautiful views of the Bristol Hills, birds, lots of outdoor space to explore, with no one around to interfere with your vacation, this is your place. So peaceful and quiet. We enjoyed walking the vineyard and ponds with the fish and the view from the top of the property was amazing.

Loved and we will be back

Beautiful view, gorgeous house, felt like home. We spent our whole first day just exploring the property , nobody wanted to leave. We all liked the way house was decorated. We loved sitting on the patio and roasting marshmallows on the fire pit. The ponds are absolutely beautiful. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back. Kids loved to play table tennis outside.

Beautiful view, gorgeous house, felt like home

We loved our stay -- the house is a beautiful hidden gem. Our family of 5 stayed a week, and everything was perfect. The house is just picturesque -- inside is lovely, and when we stepped outside our door one day, we saw two deer! The outside grounds are stunning. The owner is so thoughtful and responsive -- we appreciated all that she did for us!

This was one of the best little vacations we've had in a long time. The guest house really has everything you could need and more. The land is super beautiful, private and so much to do! We hope to be back soon!

So welcoming, private and charming!

This is our second stay at this glorious getaway and it was even better than the first. It is a beautiful, spotless, well-cared for property, with nothing but glorious vistas to enjoy. Every angle offers a perfect view of the three ponds and the wonders that surround them. And it is so quiet and peaceful. I am so grateful to Carolyn for maintaining this wonderful, amenities-rich environment for folks like me to come, unplug and simply relax surrounded by the wonders of nature. Everything you want or need is at your fingertips, including a wonderful fire-pit (with wood!!!) and plenty of space to sit around it; wi-fi, satellite-Tv, air conditioning, if you want and need it. And even a Keurig coffee maker with pods of coffee, tea and hot chocolate. Yes, there's a full kitchen, if you want to cook or even heat up delicious local take-out. And there's plenty of space indoors and out. Ladies and gentleman who visit: prepare for a little bit of pure heaven. It will be all yours at Jim's South Bristol Guest House. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

A little bit of (PURE) heaven!

We had a perfect family weekend. All amenities are provided and the place is beyond beautiful!! We relaxed by the ponds and enjoyed coffee on the patio every morning. We explored Naples and had ice cream at Lynnie Lou's and did a short hike at Grimes Glen.

Gorgeous retreat

Great home - lots of room, beautiful setting, and everything there that you could possibly want. Close to Naples and Canandaigua, so getting groceries or going out is very convenient.

Great home

The house is absolutely beautiful, and you can't beat the view or the property with the ponds and scenic fields. The house is a little off-putting when you arrive though- it is located inside a multi-door garage and doesn't look like a house from where you park. But inside it is clean and well cared for.The only trouble we had was with the driveway. The instructions say to stay to the left (and there's a sign in one fork to keep you on the right road) but the driveway forks again and you may be inclined to follow it up to the house above. DO NOT. This is not the rental. This is the home of one very agitated (and possibly drunk?) woman who will scream at you if you approach her home. You've been warned.Working with the owner was great, she is very responsive to e-mails and provides a nice touch with a Monica's pie in the refrigerator when you arrive.We enjoyed the fire pit on the back patio both nights of our stay and enjoyed our stay immensely.

Beautiful hidden gem in the Bristol Hills- but beware of the neighbors!

Our family loved our second visit to the Guest House" as much as our first. We spent hours at the ponds fishing. The kids enjoyed the new ping pong table. So much to do. Carolyn has added many thoughtful touches to this rental and it feels like home. We can't wait to return."

Family fun!

Though a bit out of the way for many Finger Lakes attractions, the guest house was a delight both inside and out. Spacious, clean, great patio perfect for star gazing. Yes, you have to drive a bit to get anywhere (30 minutes to Hammondsport, one hour to Watkins Glen) but who cares -- the scenery along the way makes the ride a pleasure. Just delightful.

Delightful Spot

I was very moved by the kids' (and dogs') joy upon arriving here again. Our family, and the kids' friends we bring with us, absolutely adore this place. The kids immediately ran for the pedal boat, followed by an hour on the trampoline. We dug into the chicken potpie, and got all the s'mores ingredients ready for the fire pit. The dogs tore up and down the hills, and even went for a ride in the pedal boat. The next morning I went out and exercised on the dock while the dogs chased after the barn swallows. Sheer joy.

Wonderful, as usual

Our second stay. Pet friendly is a +++ in our book. Beautiful, clean , picturesque , fully stocked with water & coffee. Pie is a lovely touch !

Graduation weekend

My two sisters and I had a fantastic weekend at this lovely guest house. The weather cooperated by being sunny and cool -- perfect for our love of hiking. We enjoyed an afternoon glass of wine around the fire pit, took a quick drive into Naples to explore a bit and did a lot of laughing. We all agreed that it was one of the most enjoyable getaways ever and are already looking forward to coming back!
