Hale Kōlea Cabin (Ha-lay Co-lay-ah) is a Hawai'i-themed log cabin vacation rental with sauna in the rural neighborhood of east Talkeenta, Alaska (120 miles north & a 2.5 hour drive from Anchorage) and just a 15-minute walk to the historic downtown district. Hale Kōlea Cabin or "Kōlea House" is named after the kōlea bird or Pacific Golden Plover (Pluvialis fulva) that migrates nearly 3,000 miles twice a year between Hawai'i & Alaska. Hale Kōlea Cabin is a smoke-free, no-host and no-pets custom log cabin that measures 616 sq/ft and designed with a welcoming studio layout (no bedrooms). Hale Kōlea Cabin is ideal for two persons with an available queen bed, full kitchen, laundry room and a luxurious bathroom suite with an adjoining custom Finnish dry sauna.
