A number of previous guests to the hotel commented that the location was very close to the beach, nearby restaurants and bars and was in a great place to explore the area in and around Fort Lauderdale.

A number of guest reviewers commented that the hotel was well decorated and the furnishings especially the beds made for a comfortable stay. Some commented that the Sweet Dreams bed collection is well worth the stay at a Doubletree.

A number of guest reviewers specifically mentioned the friendly and attentive staff, whose professional manner was very much appreciated by guests. It seems that the staff were willing to go out of their way to ensure that guests were comfortable during their stay.

A number of previous guests to the hotel who chose to dine in the on-site restaurant remarked that they had similar experiences. Generally guests commented that the food was average at best and was of average quality across, what they felt was a limited menu.

Although the hotel welcomes pets and is extremely pet-friendly some guests traveling without their furry friends did not appreciate the obvious presence of dogs all over the hotel, with many reviews noting that there was dog hair in common areas and in rooms which was not pleasant.

Some guests did not have a pleasant stay at the hotel as the air-conditioning units in their rooms could not maintain a temperate environment. It was either too hot or too cold for most guests and their reviews expresses this frustration.
