About Classik Hotel Martinshof München Messe
The Bavarian countryside comes to Munich in the charming Landhotel Martinshof, which is a traditional inn offering modern accommodation.
Unlike the facade and some of the public areas of the hotel, the rooms are furnished and decorated in a very modern style. They include all you’ll need for a great stay in Bavaria, including en-suite bathroom and luxury mattresses so you can get a good night’s sleep.
Reception is on duty limited hours and can assist with tours, transfers, laundry and local information. Paid Wi-Fi is available throughout the building, or a free terminal in the lobby can be used.
A simple continental breakfast is available every morning, while San Martino is the in-house restaurant. It serves delicious Italian cuisine, paired with fine wines from the cellar.
Those looking to head into central Munich will have just 600 yards to walk to get the Munich-Rien Station, from where there are regular commuter trains into the city.
Positive Reviews
positive:
Great in-house Italian Restaurant
Guests were clearly very impressed with the hotel's in-house restaurant, San Martino. Even guests not staying at the hotel seemed to feel the need to come onto the hotel's review pages to report how wonderful both the food and service at the hotel was.
positive:
Well designed rooms
A remarkable number of guests mentioned, specifically, that the rooms were very well designed. It seems they were saying that they were ergonomic, so though many said they were fairly small, they still had everything a business and leisure traveller needed without looking and feeling cluttered.
positive:
Remarkably quiet
The fact that the hotel's location was very quiet came up repeatedly in reviews. Many guests stated that their main destination in Munich was the Messe, but that this hotel was in a much more peaceful and serene location, which they liked a great deal.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Paid Wi-Fi in this day and age
To say that guests were surprised to have to pay for Wi-Fi at the hotel would be an understatement. They were truly shocked, saying that in this day and age, given the absolute necessity of connectivity to the modern traveller, it really should have been included in the room rate.
negative:
Rooms vary in quality
Going through the reviews, it becomes clear that the quality of the individual rooms vary a great deal. There is an old and new building, and it seems that the attic rooms in the older one were not quite up to the standard that guests expected.
negative:
Rooms too cold or too hot
There were a fairly large number of complaints that a guest's room was either too hot or too cold, seemingly with no way to adjust the temperature in the room itself.
