Tortuga is a small structure directly on the black beach of Sao Filipe, on the island of Fogo. A B & B with a relaxing atmosphere, lulled by ocean waves 2 km from the center of Sao Filipe. In the building on 2 floors and in the garden there are 4 rooms and 1 bungalow, all with private bathroom, guarantee a peaceful stay with few guests to share the stay with. Each room has a fan, and towels and bathrobes are provided in the bathrooms. free wifi is available in the public areas in front of the house. Getting to Tortuga is possible by taxi. We can organize transfers at your arrival or departure, both from the airport and from the port. If you want to visit Sao Filipe you can choose a walk on the black beach of no more than 30 minutes. A morning visit will allow you to experience the bustling city life with obligatory stops at the Museum, the local market, the coffee shop and other small characteristic spaces of Sao Filipe where you can find our main souvenirs: coffee and wine. You can not come to Fogo without visiting our Volcano, a unique place in the world with a small community of about 400 people living inside the Caldera at 1800 meters and with a large part cultivated with the vine from which it is derived the Fogo wine. We organize excursions to visit the island and especially the volcano, with guided tours, climbing and lunches based on typical dishes. We are at your disposal to help you organize your stay in Fogo. Tortuga is also a known restaurant that only serves local products starting from fish, always fresh bought every morning directly by the fishermen and always different to let you taste the taste of our sea (carpaccio, fish ham, fillets, soups and much more), local and homemade goat's cheese, vegetables and fruit, in addition to our homemade pasta. All accompanied by our famous Fogo wine, to finish with our coffee. The Tortuga restaurant is open for lunch and dinner, and is also open for outside guests (with dinner reservations)
