About The Greyhound Hotel
Set in the beautiful countryside of the Lake District the Greyhound Hotel is very accessible as only minutes off Junction 39 on the M6 in the little village of Shap. Great stop over between north and south. A gem of an inn serving up to 8 Award Wining Real Ales in the peak season. Situated on the Coast to Coast famous Wainwrights Walk it is also a great stop over for tired walkers on their journey. We are also on the Cycle way from Lands end to John o Groats. We have facilities for walkers and cyclists. We serve wonderful food to suit all tastes and pockets. Recently refurbished we have a modern look whilst retaining the original features of this famous hostelry. A wonderful hearty breakfast is served in Cumbrian Style serving only the best of local ingredients. Well behaved pets welcome. A warm welcome awaits for all.
